Cheri Woodard, Real Estate Agent for Rappahannock and Surrounding Counties

I moved to a small farm house in Rappahannock County in 1974 to be closer to nature and to escape the stress and hassles of urban living. In a sense my real estate career began with that move because buying and selling property has figured prominently in the various twists and turns of my life.

Shortly after relocating, I worked for a lovely "herb lady" helping with making herbal products, dried flower arrangements and growing herb plants. I met my husband, Martin, and shortly thereafter began my own herb business, Faith Mountain Herbs and Antiques in the home we purchased on Main Street in Sperryville. The company grew into one of the most successful catalog marketers of country themed products. Martin and I opened Long View Gallery in Sperryville in 2000, after selling Faith Mountain.

My real estate career officially began in 2002 and I joined the prestigious farm and estate brokerage firm of Roy Wheeler Realty Co. in 2007. My knowledge of the land and people of Rappahannock from over thirty years of living in the county has been a tremendous asset.

As a former business person, I understand the importance of providing my clients with outstanding service, attention to detail and complete confidentiality. And from over thirty years of country living, I have developed a real love of the beauty and ambience of Rappahannock County. Just recently, Martin and I purchased a beautiful 100 acre farm in the FT Valley and placed in Conservation Easement so it will be preserved forever.

When I am not selling real estate, I am very active in local volunteer organizations including Headwaters, the Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation and the Rappahannock County Conservation Alliance. In my free time, I enjoy hiking in the Shenandoah National Park, horseback riding and bicycling the beautiful back roads of Rappahannock County.
