My career is notable for a lifelong dedication to community service and entrepreneurial success, along with creativity including my love of oil painting. I draw inspiration from the panorama of the Blue Ridge Mountains as well as intimate details found along old back roads. My oil paintings embrace shapes, colors, shadows, and compelling compositions to provide my interpretations of nature. I grew up in Herndon, Virginia and have lived in Rappahannock County for 30 years.

In 1977, together with my wife, Cheri, we founded the original Faith Mountain Company in Sperryville, Virginia where I worked as Vice-President of Marketing and Creative. After selling the Faith Mountain Company in 2000, I founded Long View Gallery in Sperryville. At the Gallery, I was able to renew my love of painting. We sold the Gallery in 2005 to allow more time for my real estate career and my other interests. At that time I joined Cheri in her real estate practice to help provide the highest level of service to our clients.

I am currently President of the Rappahannock County Non-Profit Center. I am also active in many community events and often lend my artistic talent to organizations to help with their graphic needs.

We recently purchased a 100 acre farm in Sperryville, minutes from the Shenandoah National Park and have already had a scenic conservation easement accepted by the VOF. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my six year old grandson riding around the farm working on my tractor. I am an avid mountain biker, hiker and gardener.

I have converted one of the barns on the farm into an Art Studio where I continue to work on my evolution as an artist. I live in one of the most beautiful places in the world and am continually inspired to try to create that on my canvas.
