The park is home to scenic Skyline Drive and many miles of hiking trails including a long stretch on the Appalachian Trail. Rappahannock County is also known for great restaurants, wineries, breweries, organic arms and orchards. There are many art galleries, venues for music and drama and local museums. Rush River Retreat is about 30 minutes to Warrenton and an hour and half from Washington, DC.
