Rosson Hollow Run wends its way through the open pastures, rushing and splashing over rocks. It meets up with an unnamed tributary at a sandy confluence where you will find smooth river stones and puddling butterflies. When left unmowed, wildflowers abound in the pastures. Watching the light change on the mountains and reflect off the water while pollinators flit between flowers is surely one of life’s greatest pleasures.
The options for building sites with knock-out views are many. Perch your home on one of the gentle rises and maximize the Blue Ridge views. Or perhaps a site closer to Rosson Hollow Run would appeal. Even the lower portions along the Run offer gorgeous mountain views along with the sounds of the water sliding by.
The property is ready for whatever agricultural activities may interest you. It is fenced and cross fenced and the perimeter fencing was replaced a year ago with high tensile woven wire and the posts set in concrete. All fences have a hot wire at the top as well as safer, tubular metal gates. The horse barn has five roomy box stalls complete with rubber floor mats. There is a wash stall with hot and cold water and a poured concrete floor. Just beyond that is an area with space for hay storage or for more stalls. Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive are 35 minutes away, providing one of the country’s most scenic drives and many miles of hiking trails.
