Located across the street from the iconic Sperryville Corner Store and next to the renowned Hopkins Ordinary Bed & Breakfast + Ale Works, this is a premium retail spots in Rappahannock County. The old Sperryville Post Office was located here from the early 1950s until it moved further down Main Street in the 1970s. When you go in the old post office, you can still see the door with the mail slot and what used to be the main counter where you would catch up on the day’s events with the local postmaster. Next to the post office was a small service station. Later in its life the service station became a lunch counter that, according to many local residents, served the best sandwiches around.
